Harry Howard and the NDE (Near Death Experience) are a super group of sorts. Forming in 2010 and featuring two of Melbourne’s most handsome rock couples, they have released three L.P’s ’Near Death Experience’, ‘Pretty’ and Sleepless Girls’ with Spooky Records and have also been associated with vinyl releases involving Beast and Crane Records in Europe.

The band feature songs written and sung by Harry (vocals guitar) alongside Edwina Preston (keys B/Vocals) ~ writer and former singer of The Moll Flanders Band and also featuring legendary Australian musicians Clare Moore (drums B/Vocals) and Dave Graney (unusually on bass guitar) who Harry has known in Australia and London since 1981. The band have played extensively in Australia doing shows with Lydia LunchKid Congo, Thurston Moore, The Pop Group, The Aints and countless others.

Harry’s first professional shows were playing a few dates in the UK alongside his older brother Rowland S. Howard and Nick Cave in The Birthday Party even co-writing a track for their Junkyard LP. He went on to play in Crime and the City Solution with Mick Harvey, These Immortal Souls and in the Pop Crimes: Songs of Rowland S. Howard celebrated shows in Europe and Australia. Harry currently fronts the NDE and plays in several other projects including the electro punk outfit ATOM.
